Morning all...

 

Got a slightly annoying issue with our 3com 7550 switch...

 

We've just upgraded the firmware to allow us to config the switch via web management, but when we logon via the web front end, we can login OK but the config pages are blank.

 

We've created a new level 3 user for all protocols and logged on again but the config pages are still blank.

 

When browsing the web front end in IE we get a java issue - 'object expected' pointing at libs/content.js on the switch.

 

Is this a case of the content.js file being missing? I've spent ages going through the config guide (all 300 or so pages) but can't find any reference to this issue.

 

HAs anyone got an idea as to what the issue is? Has anyone got a 7550 that I could 'borrow' a content.js file from?

 

Any help would be welcomed!

Are you using IE8 ? Some network devices don't work through the Web interface properly we found this way.

Sadly, we've tried various browsers - IE, Safari and FF and all have the same issue!

 

We've ended up doing it through the command line via HyperTerminal but I'd still like to get the web end sorted!!

Don't bother with the web front end, the 3com ones have got better but htey are still crap.

The command line is always better (Putty does a good job, either through console or ssh) plus you can script config changes which makes things much quicker.
