techtopia Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Size of Client IP Pool? My Zyxel router has this as a configurable option for my LAN, currently set to 32, but I do not understand what it means. Anyone have the time to explain please?
kmount Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Sounds like the number of DHCP IP addresses it will dish out to local devices. So, in theory it would mean 32 devices would be given IP details on connect to the router. (this wouldn't stop static / manual configuration on other devices up to the size of your subnet allows)
Stuart_C Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Could be refering to the Subnet mask, as in 192.168.1.0/32
