FN-GM Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Hi, Not sure where to put exchange stuff, my apologies if it is not in the right place. I have setup a rule on a mail box on an exchange server. When an incoming message arrives, there is an auto reply and the message is then forwarded on to an external e-mail address. This simply does not work. If i send a message from an internal mailbox and set it so it forwards the e-mail onto another internal mailbox it works fine. It just won’t reply or forward to external mail boxes. Sending messages manually works perfectly. Can you think of anything that will be preventing these messages? I did check the spam filter but it’s not stopping them. Thank you
shreevie Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I haven't tested this out myself but it looks like it should work: How to forward mail to an external email address | Exchangepedia
shreevie Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Hmm it works fine for me. As this is a type of relaying you may need to check the permissions you have for any receive connectors for your mail servers. Have you had any none delivery receipts? Or tried tracing the messages using the in-built message tracker?
