No Upload Speed

Hello I am expereancing some problems with my upload speed i am i kid so i dont want parents to find out but 2 days a got i had upload speed but now i dont have none i am on virgin xl (20 mb) so i just dont know

 

 

 

 

Ps i dont need no long guides

You have used too much bandwidth with torrents etc most likely!!

Yeah but we are on unlimited xl so why should that happen

Because unlimited XL still has a fair usage policy and you have probably used too much for too long.

yes i know about the fair usage policy but we pay an extra £5 to go unlimited & whould uploading videos to youtbe matter

Yes but unlimited is never truly unlimited!! and yes uploading to youtube does matter - any form of traffic going to and from the internet!

ooo ok how long will it take to go back to normal

a couple of days of "normal" usage and it generally gets reset - however it will get limited very quickly in the future if you use it excessively again. little and often is the key here.

Not sure if it is traffic management - details of the policy are here - Virgin Media Broadband:Traffic management - & Traffic management on XL, you'll only get rate limited after you've uploaded 1.4Gb of stuff between 3pm and 8pm

 

It also ought to reset once you go outside the management period (or perhaps the next day at the latest)

 

When you say "no upload speed" do you really mean "no" or is it just much slower than it used to be? Much slower could be rate limited (you get 25% of your normal speed). Unable to upload at all suggests something has gone wrong and you need to get Virgin to fix it.
