XMPP / Jabber Servers and clients

Im looking at using an XMPP/Jabber server for messaging accross our sites. I have used Openfire and Spark in the past but looking on their website it seems that openfire hasnt been updated for over a year and spark 3 years!

 

Has anyone got any experiances and recommendations of which one to go for?

 

We need;

Server

Multicasting messgaes to all users.

Ability to only allow staff to contact certain users; IT support, on call, nurse, etc.

LDAP

Will run on linux most likely.

 

Client

Just needs SSO and run on windows
