Windows 7 Evaluation Media

Can anybody tell me if the Windows 7 Evaluation CD/ISO is the same as the full one that you download from the Volume Licence site, difference being just the Key entered?

 

As i know MS changed it all, before XP had to have a key entered, now with 7 you can decide not to enter a key and it runs in evaluation mode.

 

Just bought a MS School agreement last week, but do not have access to the Volume Licence site yet as do not have an agreement number yet. Playing with Win7 deployment using eval download ISO, if its the same thing saves me a task.

apprenty what ever the case the trial time will run out even if you activated it, you need the proper iso.

But no good if your planning to use enterprise of course, because there is no link for that expect the volume licening site (wont go into other methods where you can get it)

XP can be installed without a product key, as long as SP3 has been integrated into the installation disc.

x86: GRMCENEVAL_EN_DVD.iso / x64: GRMCENXEVAL_EN_DVD.iso

 

Windows 7 Professional (via Digital River)

x86: X15-65804.iso / x64: X15-65805.iso
