In my defence, I didn't get any until the last time I was looking for work, but I will keep using them now I have them. Same reason I stay on LinkedIn even though I have no intention of changing jobs; when I do start looking again, all that professional networking will hopefully pay off.

they where free... i have 49 of the 50 in my wallet waiting for people who might want them. the 1 used one is on the notice board at home as it has my mobile number on.
