The school has just purchased a new piece of software called Infonic Document Manager that uses SQL 2005.

I have setup a scheduled task using ntbackup to do a full backup of the server. I need to stop the SQL from running when the backup is running so that it backs up the mdf and ldf files.

I have created a batch file to stop the SQL and another one to start it again.

I don't know how to combine the 3 so I have a scheduled task that runs the batch file to stop the SQL does a full backup then as soon as its finished it runs the batch file to start the SQL again.

any advice would be welcome

Thanks
