Never had a hosepipe ban when I lived up in the midlands either. In actual fact I remember wading through a fair few roads in and around Stafford which had actually been flooded one summer... the water was so high, it even got into my pants (what a dire feeling that was!).

We all know it's downhill from Scotland, so the water is going to flow. Place turbine generators along the route and we have plenty of green energy as well.
