Staff management / register: How do you guys do it?

Ok, so we're all pretty good (I'm sure) at making sure we've got all the pupils out safely in a fire drill etc, but what about staff?

 

It's a question that was raised in a brief meeting about new hardward solutions with the head.

 

I offered a few suggestions from the simlpistic signing in/out book through to the non-contact card approach, but I'm just wondering what others do?

 

We currently have a staff signing out book, but that hardly gets used, but it's looking to see if that is the best system or whether there are other ways around it.

This is realised, but they're investigating other options before they enforce one and change it at a later date too ..

Our reception staff have to pick up all the various signing in/out books, stduents, staff, visitors, governors.

 

Other options if you have proximity cards for dooar access or are planning them would be to use those to do it utilizing muster points.
