Re-flash problem with Neoware C50 thin client....... All going fine until............

I'm an event photographer and I use 6 basic laptops as viewing stations.

I decided to buy some cheap thin clients to replace the laptops as all I need is a web browser for each of my monitors.

I bought 6 Neoware C50 clients which were previously used by an insurance company.

They all have Xp embedded but as i don't have an admin password I'm unable to make any changes.

Everything is locked out so i'm unable to gain access to the operating system.

After many hours (days) of searching, I managed to find a copy of HP's XPE flash recovery tool.

I've managed to get to the point of re-flashing the client by LAN but when the options appear (press 1 for Windows Xp embedded installation etc) I'm unable to input any of these options as the keyboard stops working.

I am using usb and the older ps/2 connection to no avail.

Anyone have any suggestions please?

OK, Now sorted.

If you use a usb keyboard, even with the ps/2 adapter then it woun't work. Use a keyboard with the proper ps2 plug on the end and it works fine!

OK.

I've been scouring google for about a week now trying to find how to re-flash my C50 clients.

I have managed to PEbuilder to get a basic XPe on each but although there is an icon for internet explorer when I click it i'm asked which program I want to open it. The option in the window is Windows setup API and that's it.

I've installed Neoware ezremote manager on my main pc and i have a connection with the network. I've tried to update the os on the client but each one fails at some point.

Any idea HOW I can get IE uploaded to my clients pls??
