teky Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Hi Guys, my brother and myself are taking part in Bytenight this year under the name of Team Teky. Basically Bytenight is an event that raises funds for Action For Children and everyone who takes part has to sleep rough for a night under the stars, we're taking part in the London event. The reason we are sleeping rough is so that we can keep children off the streets. Some facts: 75,000 young people experience homelessness each year. 1 in 3 young homeless people attempt suicide. What your money can do: £5 could help pay for emergency overnight support for a young person living on the street. £10 could help pay for a one-to-one advice session for a young person leaving care. £25 could help keep the doors of one of our youth homelessness projects open for one hour. I'm posting this here as I would like to ask for your support by donating to this very worthwhile cause. If you would like to donate then please visit the following site and donate there, our target is £4,000. The events are being held in October this year, and knowing british weather there is a very high chance we will be sleeping out in the rain, so please sponsor us by donating! Virgin Money Giving | Fundraising | Team Teky ByteNight 2010 Thank you for reading and I hope that many of you will choose to donate. Remember, We're sleeping rough so they don't have to! Teky
