Our Technology Department want to run a project for Year 7 where they discuss the pro and cons of the choices for the materials used for the outer cases for USB memory sticks. They have done some work on this already and they have found that obtaining the sticks without the outer cases is more expensive than getting them with the covers on [even if the covers have been ready branded with the school name/badge]

Does anyone know of a company that will do these at a reasonable cost?

Size is not a limiting factor as the task is only about creating a 'replacement' cover but I don't imagine that they will be less than 0.5 - 1 Gb.

Thanks.

Why not just buy some really cheap 256MB ones and remove the cases yourself?

If it comes to it that is what we will do. However we have been asked to ask the question. So here I am asking the question. :)

If you get a "Cruiser Style" memory stick it may be possible to slide the inner out quite easily, rather than having to split a glued plastic case apart.

These are less than £5 each for large quantites from here:

7dayshop.com - Online Store

Alternatively go for the smallest ones you can find and keep their own case on to protect the electronics and just add an extra case over the top.

Good luck!
