Server Room IP CCTV Camera Required

I never got this, enlighten me. Who on earth would steal a bunc of servers? I have never read of an incident where someone broke in a business or data center to steal some racks. I mean sure, banks and whatnot will have some very sensitive information on there, but it should be encrypted anyway....

 

Anyway I would probably go with one of those Wlan security cams, a half decent one can be had for around 150$

 

For us its not who would steal the servers. Its to do with who also has legitimate access to the room. Theres more than just the IT dept who have access to our server rooms for a multitude of reasons. So I want to know exactly who and when these other folks are going in there.

If you have an Ubuntu server running you could run the 'motion' daemon with a cheap webcam.

It can track movement & email with an attached image of the intruder.

Also you can access the live stream
