Setting Default Printer Presets for all users Mac OS X 10.5.7

Hi everyone

 

I am trying to set printer presets for all users of our Macs so that when a student prints, the paper defaults to A4 for instance.When the next student logs on he receives the same printer presets. I am sure it has to do with setting the plist files

We are using OKI C5650 colour printers

 

Any pointers would be appreciated

Could this be done using WGM?

 

Try adding the plist to the list of managed prefs and see what happens.

Hi i've fought with a similar issue over the last couple of years and then i found out about the cups web config page. In a browser goto 127.0.0.1:631 In there you can change the settings for it. We did this on our print server and pointed all clients at that.
