goodhead Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 This a strange issue that even dell ent suport are struggling with. My office pc runs win 7 32 bit and has done for over a month fine. Last thursday i suddenly wasn't able to access my email or even ping the server. Heres some info: One subnet no vlans works with win xp pro not cabling not switch have turned of UAC and firewall both sides. new M-board on pc all other pc in school can access the server. both server and pc have had bios and nic updates. have tried static ip on pc tried ping with ip as well as host name, so not dns subnet 255.255.0.0 both can ping other hosts including other 2003 servers both can ping them selves both have working internet etc have looked on so many forums and sites and there are issues with 64 bit win 7 and ping etc, but i'm on 32 bit. I hope some one knows how to help me, cos its doing my head in. server ip 192.168.3.201 pc ip 192.168.4.20

prad Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Do you have kaspersky and if so has the outbreak policy kicked in just on your computer? This threw me the other day.
