clock not synchronized

I have just added and transfered roles to a new 2008 R2 DC but have a time mismatch. How do I setup the time service on the 2008 DC and remove previous setup from the 2003 DC?

What do you want to do, use the new server as an NTP server for the clients? If so then just set the correct time on your server and add this to your client startup script.

 

net time \\ServerName /set /yes

 

This will sync the time on the clients with the new server.

I thought the problem was related to the old (2003 based) server trying to sync time as well as the new (2008) one but I discovered the the real issue was that I had left the hyper-v host pushing time updates to the new 2008 (virtual DC)! Oops. Thanks anyway!
