Hello all is any one using eclipse.net? that has managed to get the reminders via email working?

i have it installed on a windows 2008 box with iis 6 (although iis 7 is installed as well), we have an exchange 2007 server and numerous other apps around our network that use the smtp feature of exchange server to pass emails to users so i know relay direct to exchange is working. However this application just will not send email and sits in the qeue folder, i am missing something i know it! but what? the makers of program have run out of ideas and so i am stuck.

any help as always gratefully recieved

I had the same problem, and fixed it eventually. My notes, such as they are,, should be at work - I'll try and remember to look them out on Monday. Feel free to give me a nudge if I forget.

I found the helpdesk call from RM in my e-mails (RM set up our exchange box, so they provide our exchange support)

1. On the server running eclipse you should have in Computer Managment - Services and Applications - Internet Information Services a menu "Default SMTP Virtual Server". You might need to right click Internet Information Services and select New - SMTP Virtual Server. If it isn't there:

i. Quit IIIS Manager Console

ii. Open a command prompt on the server that is running IIS.

iii. Go the following directory at the command prompt:

%systemroot%\system32\inetsrv

iv. At the command prompt, type the following command:

regsvr32 inetmgr.dll

regsvr32 smtpsnap.dll

v. Start IIS Manager Console. The default SMTP Virtual Server snap-in should now appear.

You need to configure the SMTP Virtual Server to suit your needs, but that fixed it for us.
