embc email and gmail accounts Can someone try this for me.

Tried accessing embc smtp email via gmail account (pop3 works fine).

 

Moans about tsl errors embc say that server supports tsl etc

 

Can someone with in embc try this for me

Also if have embc and gmail account can you get access to smtp from the gmail account.

Russ, the tls check passes, when I get a spare min I'll try the smtp from gmail.

Hmm can't get pop to work

 

There was a problem connecting to mail.embc.uk.com

Server returned error: "Missing +OK response upon connecting to the server: * OK The Microsoft Exchange IMAP4 service is ready."

Well pop3 works ok (uses ssl) but smtp no joy would be interested to see if works with your gmail account.

Helpdesk confirmed that gmail can't access embcs smtp server.
