russdev Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Don't get me started on MTA I have been with my partner for 10 years, have a child, shared finances and as more stable thay some married couples we know but as not got a bit of paper we would not qualify for MTA. Russ
mossj Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 (edited) no. CTC already exists, the married tax allowance is something that probably will not now happen. Well then it's irrelavent why not just give more in the CTC to people that actually need the cash? RussDevs comment proves this, why is he and his partner less eligble for benifits than a couple in identical circumstances but with a bit of paper? Edited May 15, 2010 by mossj
nicholab Posted May 15, 2010 Author Posted May 15, 2010 Well thanks to the bit of paper my wife does not get benefits and we still have to live apart!! Unmarried and living apart she would get the benefits.
