Hello

I seem to have a problem with the allow "a4 letter paper resizing" option within the Office Suite. I have a HP Business A3 2800 Inkjet which we use to print D&T Coursework. Up until now, as long as the document has been set to A3, the printer has printed the document in A3. Now since yesterday, if a document is A3, it will print out in A4. This is due to the allow a4 letter paper resizing check box being checked, when you go to File>Print then press options, it shows it being checked. Is there a way to change this setting for all users? Just as this is an issue which seems to only come up as a choice in Office programs, and all settings on the print server seem to be correct? Any ideas?

Hi

Try going into the print properties and click the advanced and default tab and change the settings. This will change it for any printer that are installed after this point. Now to get the clients to pick up the change I had to delete the network printers and reinstall them by adding a line to my printer bat.

REM ** This line removes any printers from the profile

\\server\NETLOGON\CON2PRT /F

Lastly don't forget to put the con2prt file in the netlogon folder.

Hi Richard

Thanks for your reply.

I have tried this, however the settings are different between the preferences in an office program and the preferences on the propeties on the actual printer on the print server.

I can not seeem to find an option for automatic resizing, but that may be due down to that fact its an HP Printer that has its own configuration tabs instead of the usual windows one (If you get that)

These images show the differences between the Print Server and the workstation, but through word.

The only reason I am having to change the settings within word at the moment is because I can not find the same setting on the print server.
