Backup Exec 11d - Can you remotely manage it? i.e With a "Management Console" ????

Ive searched the symantic support, they dont seem to be supporting anything else but 12 now

 

Does anyone please know if i can install just a "Management Console" onto my PC and remotely manage it? just as with many others. i.e Exchange/Sophos/SCVMM Management consoles ??

If I remember rightly (and have no way of checking now, sorry) if you insert the installation cd in your computer you should get the option to install the management client only which should let you manage it.

 

It should be the exact same application as on the server, except you choose which server to connect to and give it the login details to manage it.
