witch Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I know this has been asked many times before but things change so fast in our world! I am looking for a laptop for a friend - around the £400 ish mark - nothing flash - Windows 7, decent sized hard drive, lots of RAM etc. I lean towards Tosh or Dell but am flexible - any thoughts? (personally given her usage I think she should go with one of ICTDirects lovely IBM T60s but she wants something new and flash) The most important thing is - whatever you recommend:- where to get it that will offer the best price? Thanks
Soulfish Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 MCS Technology Ltd usually have some good offers. Check for the Dell laptops with 3yr onsite NBD warranty. Do be a little weary of the prices though - they're excluding VAT! I've bought a few things from them in the past (Monitors and Laptops) and they've always been as described with the full Dell warranty
tech_guy Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I would recommend Toshiba although you may struggle to find a suitably specced machine for £400. Talk to Simon at CPLTD or Dan at WStore - they can come up with some cracking deals.
