DNS Propagation and Virus

I am in the process of setting up a site for my gf (she is a singer song writer) and DNS is taking ages to propagate, just want to get on with it whilst i have a few nights free.

 

then i get a call saying we have 2 stations infected with viruses and are broardcasting and slowing the whole county down. so i need to disconnect and work on them locally - or the net get cut off until its sorted (which is fair, i understand that). but one of them is our web server and i get shouted at when i turn it off as it hosts our VLE etc

 

late night i think - no cup of tea (or pint of ale) in the back garden after work today.
