bart21 Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 hi we have a diar situation. we had a complete power outage over easter and all servers went down as the ups gaveout! Now the kids have come back we have realised that most of the gpo settings do not apply. for instance we force classic staff menu, restrict control panel etc. None of this is working, the students have access to everything. The staff ones seem to be ok. Not 100% sure. My thoughts were if the sysvol folder was replicating when the power died could it have corrupted gp. Any other ideas/fixes. Thanks
kmount Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Replmon on each DC and see whether they are all happy chappies. Event viewer to look for errors. GPUDPATE /FORCE on a workstation to see if you get any errors in the event viewer there.
bart21 Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 thanks for that kim have tried gpupdate /force, what does replmon do?
glennda Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 download a microsoft program called sonar from MS it monitors the file replication service between dc's i have it running all the time on my machine and double checks they are replicating every 30 mins and if they are not pops up with a warning.
