DELL Perc Controllers Accept Non-DELL drives again

A while ago DELL told us that we would only be allowed to use DELL hard drives in their servers (possibly just the high-end ones I can't remember too well), they've now changed their minds.

Good to see they saw sense over that, it would have been a show-stopper for me not to have that option if the need arose.

It wouldn't have affected me directly as we always buy Dell complete servers with full warranties, but it's the principal of the thing. I like my hardware as open as possible and want to avoid vendor lock-in, so good call by Dell.
