Can you use App-V with XP clients? If so how does it work. I have looked at citrix virtualised apps before. Do you have to install special software on the clients?

I have seen lots of people mentioning but havn't had a chance to look at it - don't want to go through the whole setup process and realise cannot use it as currently we only have xp clients.

 

Also does it have to be installed on server 2k8 or can you install it on 2k3/R2?

Yes, yes, and yes.

its really really really simple to setup-up much simpler than citrix
