Google UK School Election

 

This Spring, Britain will go to the polls to decide the next government of the United Kingdom. Many pundits consider this the first truly 'digital election'. We expect to see parties, candidates and voters all using the internet in new and innovate ways across throughout the campaign, whether creating YouTube videos, posting on Twitter or setting up Facebook groups.

 

An election is a great time your students to learn more about how democracy in Britain operates and we believe the internet is as a great resource for this information, while also helping to bring the subject alive through video, maps and interactive websites.
