Wiping a drive while using ImageX

I've been playing around with the new MS deployment tools. Taking an image and deploying an image is pretty straightforward, but I can't deploy an image that completely overwrites the existing drive. The default behavior is that the User's folders are retained - obviously that is very handy, but sometimes you need to completely wipe a PC. any idea of the switch? Currently I am using:

d:\imagex /apply T:\visa.wim 1 c:

In case anyone else wonders about this, you have to wipe the machine first using diskpart or format. Obviously they are easy to do, but surely a simple "/clean" switch or similar is an oversight by Microsoft.

Sorry, that is a massive area. You need to read and download Business Desktop Deployment:

From the tools/add-ons that you can get with BDD 2007 you'll need imagex and WinPE 2.0.

 

It's really too big for someone to give you a step-by-step here, you should probably just give it a go and report problems which we can help with.

incidentally are you creating and deploying xp images with this?

I have done, and probably will move completely over to it at some stage, but ghosting a whole IT room in one go is easier at the moment.
