plexer Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Just mulling over the option of buying a couple of L series ethernet connected NComputing units to be used when we need to be able to replace a pc instantly. Anyone used it like this? Ben
multipoint Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Hi Plexer. It depends on the applications you'd want to run. If it's normal file, print, internet, nothing too 3D, I'd be tempted to go for the X series as it's cheaper, or even the U series. U series is USB which means you don't have to add a PCI card to the host PC like the X series, and handles multimedia pretty well. It's cheaper than the L series and will work with 64 bit O/Ss by the end of the month. I know a couple of VARs who sell NComputing into schools who would be able to provide you with some school contacts.
