As the article said, a pinch of salt is needed. I highly doubt that claim to be true.

Pretty believable really, the Wii needs around the same sort of space per (adult) player

To be precise, you'll want to clear an area extending at least 4 meters (a little more than 13 feet) away from the television. That's the back edge of the space to be taken into account by the Natal sensors.

 

The way that reads to me, you need to be closer than 4m?

Yeah that makes more sense. There aren't going to be many living rooms with 4 metres of space in front of the TV!

I'm more interested in how microsoft are going to incorporate Natal into third party titles without the use of a controller, It should be interesting to see compared to sony's pseudo wii controller and nunchuk.
