Desktop and Start Menu re-direction HELP

Hello al and HELP please......

I am trying to configure desktop and start menu re-direction on Server 2008 R2 on my test virtual server setup. It works ok on my 2003 server with Windows XP and a test Windows 2007 PC, but on server 2008 the re-direction will not apply.

 

I think this might be an issue with the fact the Win7 PC has already had desktop and start menu re-direction apply via a 2003 GPO.

 

The share is correct and can be accessed by the test user accounts. Here is the event logs - any help please.

An old thread but i'm having the exact same problem! Does anyone have a solution to this or did the OP solve the problem?

Hi, This problem was now fixed. The issue, in my case, was caused by old profiles; once these were deleted all work ok. Be careful to apply the redirection to the correct users. The best plan is to add the users to a group then apply redirection on a group basis.

 

This works better on 2008 then it does on 2003.
