e_g_r Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Sure the answer is somewhere on the forum so sorry to repeat the question. I have created a new default mandatory profile and despite my best efforts i can't get it to stop file sync when the user logs off. Well thats a bit of a white lie because if i log into the machine as admin and desable file sync and offline files then when the new user logs in and then out they don't sync. Trouble is i don't want to have to go around to 500+ machines and do this. Is there a group policy setting that i can apply or another way?
ChrisH Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 There is a GPO setting. Find the setting with this spreadsheet: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=7821C32F-DA15-438D-8E48-45915CD2BC14&displaylang=en
k-strider Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Yes use Group Poloicy to do this look in the computer section of GP (make sure this policy is applied to the pc object) and turn offline files off there... i cant tell you exactly where to look since im at home.. but it does work i have done it before.
Geoff Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Also turn off offline files on your server shares that do not require it.
Ric_ Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Network -> Offline Files Lots of goodies in there to play with
Stese Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 in addition, you may wish to turn it off on the local machine as well... folder options 'offline files' tab
