flash or passport size hdd?

Just had an email come in from a member of the music department saying:

Subject: Advice on Flash pen drive purchase

 

Just a question about purchasing a flash drive for my department. My portable hard disk needs to retire to a nice home.

 

I’ve seen Corsair versions around £250 – do you have any suggestions for a portable non-mechanical memory solution (preferably pocket sized)?

 

Must be at-least 120gb in size.

should i get him a flash drive? or should i just point him to a usb 2.5inch hard drive for like £60.

Any reason why he would need an SSD/non-mechanical?

 

The hard drive travel style external drives (USB powered) are quite robust. I'd go for the ones with 3 years + warranty.
