URGENT: XenServer NFS Share ARRRGHGHGHH

I've run out of space on an NFS share the XenCenter package won't delete the VHD file when I look on the share they have names such as: 07244965-0990-4c9d-b60b-4827e52a2b1a.vhd how do I find out how this relates to the VMs?

They sound like snapshots to me.

 

//Actually thinking about it, thats how xen labels them. Go on the console and run "xe vm-list" and you'll get a list with the relating human readable tag.

If they are snapshots and if xen works like hyper-v you *could* try deleting the snapshot and then shut the server/os down as hyper-v would at that point merge the files and free space up.

But like I say thats how hyper-v works.

Running xe vhd-list vm-uuid= will give you the UUID for the VHD files. I believe that should match what Xen calls the file on the SR.

 

You can get the VM's UUID by running xe vm-list

 

If you've used snapshots at all and you've deleted them make sure that all space has been reclaimed first - CTX123400 - Reclaiming Disk Space from Deleted XenServer Snapshots - Citrix Knowledge Center
