Domain wizard greyed out

In Windows 7 Pro the network ID wizard is greyed out so I can't join the domain. Any ideas how to proceed?

Why are you using the wizard. Have a look at Joining Windows 7 to a Domain and join the domain as if it was a windows xp machine.

Picture 4 shows the member of box, mine was greyed out as if it was the home version. I'm reinstalling windows on it now so problem over.

I wondered if the Netlogon service was not running for any reason. But if you're doing a reinstall thats probably not much help now .
