u8dmtm Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Given the impending election and likely cuts in spending on leading labour programmes (such as BSF) would it be foolish to move from a well-paid job in a school which is long way off being BSF'd into a better paid private sector job in a company heavily focussed on BSF. Any thoughts welcome.

u8dmtm Posted January 29, 2010 Author Posted January 29, 2010 The Tories are likely to win the election, they are preparing an 'austerity budget' and have not commited to BSF and in fact say they want to 'get away from' that model.

u8dmtm Posted January 29, 2010 Author Posted January 29, 2010 OK, so in terms of the original question is it foolish move or not?

russdev Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 (edited) Depends on who you are going to. Remember likes of RM, Ramesys and Northgate were around long time before BSF. Is suspect that they all have plans in a cut down version of the BSF programme. Also they have contracts which will run and will not be effected by any change of government. Also the above 3 have fingers in other pies other than BSF. But on other hand if going for a firm that is major income is BSF then that is another matter. So answer is depends on which firm.
