mikeglover Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Does anyone have a good guide on how to sysprep a windows 7 machine for use with FOG or any other imaging system. I have gone through the sysprep that is install in Windows/system32/sysprep and only have a option for OOBE or Audit. OOBE option is not what I want because it forces you to create a new user during the setup experience.
mikeglover Posted January 29, 2010 Author Posted January 29, 2010 The machine does not need to connect to the domain. All im after really is what Sysprep unattended setup was on XP.
mikeglover Posted January 29, 2010 Author Posted January 29, 2010 This might help. Network Management Thanks for the guide. I can't see why I have to download a 1.6 GB program to do a sysprep. It's CRAZY! I guess I've have to leave it download at 20 kB over weekend. Is there no other way of doing this people?
jmcdermott Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 i can supply you with a custom unattend.xml, but it will create a user automaticly, it should be possible to set a script to delete it once it boots into windows for the first time.
mikeglover Posted January 29, 2010 Author Posted January 29, 2010 thats the trouble I already have a user created on the machine and don't want it to create another one.
