GPO Software deployment

Hi all,

 

I've noticed that (at least for us) Windows 7 gives no indication to the user that software is being installed on boot when it's deployed via group policy, just sits on 'Please Wait' is this how it's supposed to be? Seems a little odd, just wondering if this is a setting we have missed or a 'feature'?

Aye, this is a 'feature'

 

But in group policy you can set it to be verbose

 

Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System and change the option "Verbose vs normal status messages"

Yes another not so great feature from the Vista Legacy. Please who is designing this stuff now? Do Microsoft not think about anything anymore?
