Dear Team,

The company X and Y share user credentials using one Samba server belonging to default vlan of Company Y. Both Company X and Y belongs to same network.

Samba server doesn't throw any user authentication.

Company X Lan uses HP Procurve 2510G switch, which is web managed switch.

In Nortel Core Switch 5530, Vlan2 named "Company X" is created and Samba server will be part of default vlan(vlan1) and Vlan2 "Company X"

Once the trunk between Hp procurve and the core switch established, the users in the company X are able to access the user machines in company Y. It has to be restricted.

Am attching the Network diagram for your reference.

Kindly guide me to achieve this.

Regards,

Narayanan
