Jobos Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I'm running Windows 7 on a HP DC7900 that I want to use with two monitors. I'm using a HP display port adapter and installed the latest video drivers from Intel but I can't get an output from the display port . The graphics properties report there is only one monitor attached to the machine. The adapter works ok with XP but I using Windows 7 Anyone come across this?

localzuk Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 From what I'm seeing on the HP forums, this seems to be a relatively common problem. The end result seems to be that there is some sort of fault with the DisplayPort on that model, when combined with certain adapters and certain monitors. What adapter are you using? And have you tried a different model/make/size of monitor? Business support forums - DC7900 and Displayport will not be recognized - This thread has been closed My guess would be that the drivers for Windows 7 don't have the full range of components as those for Windows XP.
