Default lang & kb layout always reverts to en-US!!!

This has me pulling my hair out...

 

no matter how many times I've ensured that the machine I've setup, ghosted and then deployed was setup with the default language and keyboard layout to en-GB.. it ALWAYS reverts back to en-US whenever a new user logs into the domain.

 

I've been going nuts trying to figure out how to resolve this issue but bizarrely all Google pulls up is keyboard shortcuts...

 

Has anyone got any fixes for this?

Default profile or GPO ?

Check regional setting, US Keyboard layout removed, set English as default. Language toolbar by the clock make sure its set to English, Also check in application, for instance Word, tools, language, set to english UK, also theres a box set to detect automatically.

 

To be honest you've pro done all this,

 

in that case wipe the profile!

Correct... I made damned sure the install was done properly because I've hit this before..

 

I hadn't looked in word as it goes so that's worth checking out but overall ALL the computers were set to use UK lang and I made a point of making UK default as well as deleting the US keyboard layout... Didn't appear to make any difference...

Well it was an LEA supplied disk but I suspect that when I look at the disk it'll show that it was a US based disk and nobody there opted to set it properly for UK based install..

 

Learning curve I guess and in truth I'm looking at RIS for my next mental mountaineering project so it's a short term issue... Still thoroughly frustrating.. :?
