Configuring Buffalo DD-WRT APs

The lastest Buffalo AirStation APs come with DD-WRT on them and I'm a bit confused as to how to setup their IP.

 

What I really want to do is set them to pick up a DHCP address from a reservation on the server.

 

I can get them to work by setting a static IP but I'm finding the WAN setup page confusing.

 

Anyone got one of these (or using DD_WRT on something else? ) and tell me what to do?

First you need to decide how you're going to connect your routers together. Check this link for info on that. I chose WDS since my routers are close to each other and I didn't want to use wires at all. Check the following links for information and tell us how it goes with you and which mode did you choose:

I found my notes on configuring WDS on DD-WRT, thought it might be useful to you.

This is the configuration of the second router but the same settings applies from second till nth router.

I have changed every router SSID to different name for troubleshooting purposes but after I settled down on settings and everything was working probably I changed them all to the same SSID to let my users roam from one WAP to another without dropping the connection
