adamchapman Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I've tried to install SCCM on a server and got 90% of the way there... I just wondered if anyone has an installation guide/walkthrough on how to setup from scratch? Google not thrown much up thats of any use. I've got sccm installed ok and managed to pull the machine names from AD, deployed the client successfully - but the clients don't seem to be connecting to the server properly as the server doesn't recognise the fact that the client has been installed. I'm probably missing something simple....? Do I need to add firewall exceptions on the client machines or something? Any help appreciated!
Arthur Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I bookmarked the following website a while ago as it has quite a few guides on how to setup SCCM. Looks pretty useful. http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1064-sccm-2007-guides/ 2

Arthur Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Just come across the following PDFs by accident and thought they might be worth mentioning too. http://cid-2095eac3772c41db.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/Public/Software^_Management^_Using^_CM^_2007.pdf http://cid-2095eac3772c41db.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/Public/InstallingCM202007.pdf These were written by an MVP called Aidan Finn. 1
