danrhodes Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Anybody ever seen this spooler error before? We are getting it when the service starts. This is on our Server. Thank's in advance! Dan
teejay Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Do you have any HP printer drivers installed, or any network print utilities from any printer manufacturer?
danrhodes Posted January 13, 2010 Author Posted January 13, 2010 We have P-Counter installed, I think it may be that which is causing our issue, its currently working though, their advice is to leave it and see what happens then worry about it when something goes wrong, as up to press they cannot help us any further as its not an issue they have ever had before! teejay Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 We had it happening on our print serve. Check you have no printer manufacturer network utilities installed and also try using the HP universal printer driver. If that doesn't solve it, you can use cleansp.exe from Microsoft to clean the rubbish from the print spool, but you may end up losing your printers and having to reinstall them.
Michael Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 If you have a look a the spoolsv.exe process on Task Manager how big is it? From the error it looks like either P-Counter or a driver may be causing a memory leak and crashing the service.
