Right clicking my documents

Morning all

 

Problem with pupils accessing my documents, they all have there own drive which maps to a local profile, they can get into this through my computer and then there network drive, however cannot get through my documents, I presume because my documents is not pointing to the correct location however unable to view where it is pointing as GP is not allowing me to right click the folder (it is but the option properties is not in there)

 

Any suggestions?

does it affect all pupils, or just a select few? Is there any correlation between an OU and the issue i.e. can you rule out a policy being applied to a single OU and causing the issue?

The students account has to the the NTFS owner of the documents folder in question for redirection to work properly. If these permissions have been changed for any reason this could be the cause of the documents folders not mapping. I would suggest looking through the event log under an administrator logon to see if there are any events logged that explain whats going on and use the Resultant Set of policy snapin in MMC to see what group policies are actually being applied.
