ful56_uk Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Hi Our school wants to start using some sort of live meetings with other schools in the area. They dont nessary want video but more audio Conferencing Services with maybe shared desktop or power point like in live meeting. I dont think live meeting comes with audio services using telephone only pc audio. Can any one recommend me a product. Thanks Mark
Domino Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 you can get telephone audio with livemeeting if you use OCS 2007 R2 Although unless you were looking at going VOIP/internal messaging its probably overkill. WebEx is pretty good but the corp accounts are REALLY expensive.
Kamran7860 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 I have used WebEx but its is expensive. However if you like WebEx check out Dimdim, it has free edition which can do up to 20 people. 1
ful56_uk Posted January 6, 2010 Author Posted January 6, 2010 That's a great find thanks I'll give that ago
jennn Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 RHUB's TurboMeeting is a pretty good and affordable one. Their web conferencing has the features you are looking for, like shared desktop. One neat thing about RHUB is that they have a no-download option for attending meetings. Its browser based, so as long as you can access the internet using a browser, you'll have no problem attending a meeting.
