adamf Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Does anybody know what a "Windows 2008 Server Student Access Licence" is? Something I saw in a Ramesys brochure but I can't find any info on the web about such a thing.
mb2k01 Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 (edited) I'm fairly sure that it is a Client Access License (CAL) which allows students to make use of features like remote desktop / ts web apps etc. Depending on your deployment and other existing license types (external connectors etc) it may or may not be required. Edited December 28, 2009 by mb2k01 More appropriate word!
Richfrombechtle Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 On Academic MS licensing programs, there are "Faculty" CALs that cover school owned machines and "Student" CALs that cover machines owned by students. Often used for giving them home access to school resources...it's probably this you saw referenced. Cheers Rich
KeithMPhoenix Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Indeed - Schools Select includes options on Student CALs. Hope this helps Keith
Richfrombechtle Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 They are also available on Schools Agreements. Cheers Rich
