I'm in the proccess of finishing a website for a childminding service. I need some photos of kids having fun etc. Now the childminding service has concent from the parents to use photos for the website, but their a bit pants... very boring etc.

so I was having a look at istockphoto.com for kids having fun type photos. I have spoted some excellent photos of kids painting and dressing in indian costumes etc which would fit perfectly. My main concern is, can I use these photos on the site?

cheers

If you pay the royalty fees then yes, you can. That's what they're there for :)

And as long as you aren't using them to give a misleading impression of the service you are selling, of course. Or Anne Robinson will shout and glare at you.

lol thanks :)

I've not used istockphoto.com myself, so I'd just have a quick check of the terms for the images. Usually if you pay royalities they let you do what you want with it- but just double check you're allowed to use the images for commercial purposes.

Like I say, usually fine- but always best to cover ones arse.
