Any T-Mobile Pay and Go users?

If so, anyone have a clue what their so called deal is like for this "free internet" if you top up a tenner a month?

Just basically after a P&G sim and free internet would be a huge bonus - however navigating t-mobiles website is likely driving round milton keynes; whichever turning you take at the roundabout you always end up the same place - lost. Must be some caveat to it, some con. The nearest thing I can find on their site suggests it's actually £1 a day max but that's certainly not "free" - even if you apply Apples' marketing standards to it.

Do you specifically want to be with T-Mobile?

 

My girlfriend has my old iPhone with an O2 Text And Web SIM in it (PAYG).

 

So long as she tops up by £15 per month she gets unlimited (12,000) texts and unlimited (I think 500MB), of data. Which when I was looking around was the most amount of free unlimited PAYG data available. Round here O2 has MUCH better signal coverage than T-Mobile as well.

I did look at O2 but 15 is a bit much. Currently, a tenner's credit gets me 2 months useage. I do budget a tenner a month for mobile anyway. I've got a bunch of iPhones I can use and I may bite the bullet for the sake of internet useage. And likewise, O2's reception round here is second to none. Might see if I can find the bit extra. Trouble is, another fiver and I'm back into contract territory :/

I fix things to stop me getting bored - bought 5 dead iPhones (pre 3G mind!) a year back to fix. I did, and never bothered to do anything with them - my Nokia 6300 is a far better phone for what I use it for although internet will probably change that.

Another benefit with the O2 deal that I mentioned earlier is top up rewards. If you top up £15 in the month, you qualify for a gold reward. These are usually, free weekend calls to any number (for the next weekend), free voicemail for a month, free month of calls to other o2 phones etc.

 

May not sound a lot but they can actually be quite handy.

Thats true - I quite enjoy some of the silver surprises on £10 top ups even if they are just a few extra texts a month. Always handy, especially when you get a couple of good jokes
